Infiniti M

Infiniti M Hybrid

In the Infiniti M35h, both high efficiency and thrilling exhilaration have been successfully crafted into one system – without compromise. It is a system that achieves low CO2 emissions, while delivering powerful dynamics, with a stunning acceleration of 5.5 sec. from 0 to 62 MPH. Forget your prejudices about hybrids. Welcome to inspired performance.

Hybrid System

The new Infiniti M35h is the most powerful engine in the Infiniti M range, combining exceptional performance with outstanding efficiency. A petrol 3.5-litre V6 engine (306 PS and 225 kW) with an electric motor (68 PS and 50 kW) produces a thrilling 364 PS. By using two clutches, that power flows directly, smoothly and unrestricted through the 7-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The result is more power with greater efficiency and a stronger feeling of connection.

Regenerative Braking System

The regenerative braking system takes advantage of all kinetic energy produced when braking and transforms it into useful electric power. When applying the brakes, energy that would normally be lost is re-routed to charge the high performance lithium-ion battery, enabling better fuel economy.

Electric Power Steering

Infiniti has developed the world’s first NH-EPS (New Hybrid Electric Power Steering) system. This innovative technological achievement uses an electric motor to operate an hydraulic pump for steering assistance, maintaining the smooth feel of hydraulic steering in all circumstances, while at the same time optimising fuel economy.

Lithium-Ion Battery

At the heart of the Infiniti M35h is the innovative lithium-ion battery. Remarkably small in size, this battery technology is light and compact. Coupled with the ability to store more energy, the M35h battery marks a breakthrough in power efficiency, as well. As a result, it is able to charge and discharge energy considerably faster than other hybrid batteries. Thanks to this impressive power density, this full hybrid Infiniti M35h – meaning it can use the electric motor as the sole source of propulsion for low-acceleration driving – has the ability to reach 80 km/h strictly in electric mode. The powerful battery also enables drivers to cruise on electric power alone at a constant 120 km/h on a level highway.

Energy flow monitor

The central console screen displays the vehicle’s energy flow monitor. This shows you the generation and deployment of vehicle energy, specifying when the car is being powered by either the conventional engine and/or by the electric motor.
